TRANSLUCENT PAPER AND LIGHT | Santa Fe | August 25-28 | 2020
Translucency and Light--what we love about encaustic!
This is an encaustic monotype workshop that focuses on translucency of paper, ways of preserving light in the print, and presentation ideas.
We will create translucent papers on the Roland HOTbox and by saturating paper in clear or tinted wax. We will layer translucent drawings and prints and experiment with partially translucent encaustic prints that can be back lit. Paula guides students in developing intentions and a unique voice with the medium. She offers approaches that help integrate this work with your studio practice.
