One space available. This class is also offered April 16-19, 2019.
This is a new class that uses new materials and techniques to enhance prints and resolve monotype compositions. It is a great way to extend your voice and artistic vocabulary. We will review encaustic monotype basics and composition and work freely with an array of materials such as disperse pigments--including graphite, watercolor, inks, Pan Pastel, drawing materials, pigmented cold wax (sans oil from Evans Encaustics), EncaustiFlex (a strong synthetic paper), and more! New approaches include printing from pours, use of repeatable matrices, and off-printing from mylar. Also covered: mounting, framing and free-hanging paper ideas. This class can accommodate your specific interests as well. Bring your ideas, imagination, and if you like, materials specific to your particular interests.
