Refund/Cancellation, Liability Policies for Workshops

LAST DAY TO WITHDRAW WITH REFUND (minus a $100 processing fee) is 45 days prior to workshop. After this time no refund can be given unless the workshop/retreat is filled and we are able to replace you. However you may transfer to another class within a year with the full amount applied, but the balance on that class must be paid at the time of transfer (or thereabouts) and no further extensions or refunds given. This is a slight revision of the policy, allowing the transfer as stated above.

If minimum enrollment is not met (this rarely happens) and the workshop is cancelled, you will be notified immediately following the 45 day mark and a full refund will be made, or you may transfer to another class with full amount applied to the new class. Minimum enrollment varies (see class descriptions).

No discounts or refunds can be given for your late arrival or early departure. Under no circumstances are we responsible for your non refundable hotel or airline charges. You may want to wait until the 45 day mark to make plane reservations, or best, make sure your flight and lodging are refundable. If we are forced to cancel the workshop for any reason, students may reschedule, applying the deposit or full amount toward the new workshop, or receive a full refund.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY :The below named participant, on behalf of himself or herself, and all agents, employees, assignees, administrators, or executors, hereby releases, discharges, and waives all claims of liability against The Open Studio LLC, Paula Roland or her employees for any injuries, damages, or loss of any kind that might be sustained while participating in Paula Roland's Encaustic Workshops, or for any health condition, new or preexisting, that might develop or be affected or aggravated as a result of participation.

We cannot reduce or waive these terms in the event of circumstances beyond our control such as illness, flight cancellations, war, terrorist attacks, injury or death, natural disaster, or force majeure. If any sentence of this agreement is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance thereof shall continue in full legal force and effect.
