ENCAUSTIC MONOTYPE - INTERMEDIATE, Santa Fe - October 25-28, 2017

In this workshop, you will develop a cohesive and unique body of monotype works.
Take your prints to the next level with enlightening exercises, new developments and approaches, and a focus on your goals. This class is designed to help you find your unique voice with encaustic monotypes. We will review and refine skills; advance your techniques; find your voice, and connect style and content of monotypes with your studio practice. Learn to trouble-shoot technical and compositional issues using methods on and off of the Roland HOTbox™ so that each piece becomes a "keeper." Individual and group discussions and critiques address developing the work's content. Create a series of related prints as a final project and find solutions to your presentation needs. I have seen those in this class take a HUGE leap in their work! Also covered: Mounting prints to boards, presentation options for framing and for display of free-hanging paper.
